We became what we believe. do you believe that there’s miraculous power stores within yourself?
In Matt 25:14-30 we read about Parable of the talents. A servant who received one talent was really being what he believed to be, when he said,
“Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed.25 So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’
26 “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? 27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.
28 “‘So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags.
Surprisingly here we don’t see any phrase which the master “corrected” his servant opinion about him, and sadly that servant ate up what he believed to be about his master.
We must know that our ability is a dynamic power. It means that there is a God’s given power within us, that enables us to do miraculous things, to multiplies what He has already given in our life, but it depends on our choice.
But how? Here’s the way:
1. Put your power/ability to WORK
Matt 25:16 16 The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more.
Use it, work it! Don’t just laze around and do nothing, don’t just let your talents be wasted for nothing, unless you want them to be given to someone else who works his talents.
It doesn’t matter how many talents we do have, but the thing is “do we work it? Or leave it?”
Those abilities can become more or less, and what makes the difference is do we use them as their best or?
2. Our talents is an expression of trust from God
Do you view your ability is a trust form God or a burden from Him? It will determines your attitude towards them
3. Envy and bitterness
The servant who only has one talent filled his days with jealousy, envy, to other servants that has two and five talents. He never focused on what he has, instead of what he didn’t have, and what others have. If we follow his example, there will be no miraculous power demonstrated in our life.
4. Don’t get Him wrong
We must not let our heart get Him wrong. He only asks us to do our best with what we have. Remember the servant who has 5 talents is required to get another 5, yet the servant who has 2? Only 2 more are besought from her. Listen to what the master said to those 2 servants who did their best, despite the number of talents that they brought it (5 vs 2):
20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’
21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
22 “The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’
23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
SO WAKE UP!
Who’s sleeping? YOU, yeah you!
Wake up from the act of taking pity of yourself!!! Speak the word of blessings about your family, your relationship, about your life, and work out all your talents! And then do it faithfully, do it wholeheartedly, before long, God will make KINGDOM EXPLOSION in your life in His time.
