Faith in “Failure”

It is hard to keep in faith when we face difficult times, when what we hope for doesn’t happen, when we think we have failed, and when things get hard to understand. But in these times, instead of believing what we feel, we should make a decision to believe what God says in His Word.

He said

“The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.” Psalm 37:23-24 (NIV)

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11Image

” The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)” John 10:10

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8:37

So we need to be decisive, decide to trust Him, continue to be in a good cheer, put our trust in Him. Trusting Him to do what only God can do, to fulfill what He has said in His Word, for we know:

“God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19 (AMP)

We need to:

” Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.” Psalm 37:4 (AMP)

Are we going to trust Him? no matter what seemed to be taken from us right now? no matter how He seems to be “silent” and does nothing when this terrible things come to us?

as He’s already said that: “I assure you, he will. He will not drag his feet. But how much of that kind of persistent faith will the Son of Man find on the earth when he returns?” Luke 18:8 (MSG)

Can we say to God as Job said? “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him” Job 13:15

can we look past our troubles today, and see Jesus who chose to be hanged on the cross for our sake? are we keep going to doubt His love for us?

I remember some verses from a really beautiful song:

God is too wise to be mistaken

God is too good to be unkind

So when you don’t understand

When you don’t see His plan

When you can’t trace His hand

Trust His heart

Yes He will come to our rescue in His time, yet would we be willing to wait for Him?

God bless
